American Enzyme, Inc. products have been progressively developed over ten years from a proprietary biocatalytic formula of preformed enzymes that was originally developed in the 1950's. This sophisticated blend of water and highly purified plant proteins insures all of our enzyme cleaning systems are non-toxic, non-flammable, hypoallergenic, ecologically safe, and most uniquely, non-bacterial. Nearly all other enzyme cleaning products available on the market today are bacteria based. In other words when you open the container and apply those products to the surface you are literally adding more bacteria to the environment you are attempting to clean. Biochemically, these products use the bacteria to interact with the organic material (dirt) to form the enzymes which then initiate biological degradation and decomposition of matter on the surface being cleaned.
